OVERVIEW

I am looking for a hands-on Associate Director of Digital Advertising Services with at least 8+ years of experience planning and managing medium to large advertising campaigns in B2B and B2C for a fast-growing digital agency based in Texas and San Francisco.

The ideal candidate is someone who has expertise working with digital campaigns and media strategy and planning across online and offline advertising channels and is able to partner with clients to own and grow their accounts and strategies. This person would benefit from having at least 2-3 years of experience mentoring and growing other team members but is not required to have prior management experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing or planning and prior hands-on experience executing across at least some of the following advertising channels: SEM, social, programmatic display, publisher direct buys, content syndication, native advertising, and/or video. Additional experience with offline mediums such as broadcast, out-of-home, and print is a big plus.

Responsibilities Include 

  • Manage a portfolio of DAS clients to ensure delivery excellence across all DAS channels
  • Develop and oversee the execution of media strategies and plans across all mediums
  • Support new business initiatives
  • Lead account media strategy and partner with clients as a trusted consultant; educate and inspire team members to do the same.
  • Work alongside other DAS team members on execution and strategy, including SEM, social, and programmatic specialists
  • Confidently, competently, and efficiently launch, manage and strategically optimize digital and offline campaigns across a diverse client base.
  • Analyze campaign data and provide meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Effectively communicate strategy and results to clients in reports and meetings—not just performance of line items, but rather, articulate insights on creative solutions, landing page strategy, and effectiveness of strategy beyond media-centric minutia.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be well-rounded and want to learn—and educate others—about other areas of customer acquisition and marketing.
  • Ability to influence client decisions and will have comfortability accompanying the sales team on pitches.
  • At least 6+ years of experience in media planning and buying with a heavy focus on digital inclusive of SEM, programmatic, and social media, ideally managing campaigns with $750k – $1MM or higher monthly spend, and some B2B experience is a must
  • Superb communication skills – written and oral, presentation skills are key for this role – as is speaking to clients in their own language.
  • Highly analytical in both thinking and hands-on experience with tools like Google Analytics and other tools.
  • High-end Excel skills: coding, using advanced formulas and pivot tables.
